C’mon Along and Listen to the Lullaby of Toronto

Grandma Phyllis recommend that I use a “funny photo” for this blog post. This one count?

This will be my fourth year at Radio Without Boundaries. Can you believe it? If this conference was college, and college was something that only took place for one weekend every year, I would be graduating. If I were elected president my first year at the conference, this would be the year I’m up for reelection. Time for another lunar eclipse. Another leap year. The Olympics.

I keep coming back because radio’s a craft where there will always be more to learn. Hence this website, Transom, and others, like the fresh breath of AIR, the echos of Re:sound, the dietary requirement of Rob’s Saltcast, and the immense joy of the Third Coast International Audio Festival. We makers of radio are forever students of radio.

With a bow to Jonathan Goldstein (who will be giving the keynote address on Saturday!), I’ve challenged myself to create original podcasts for this year’s blog, in the key of WireTap. This edition features my Grandma Phyllis.

“C’mon along! Let’s have some fun! You might even learn something! It’s always such a blast to be there!”
